The oldest of the 2014 plants are starting their second leaf renewal. The timing is perfect and makes me very happy! If all goes as planned, they should be right on schedule with the adults and will be easy to transition to the adult schedule. Last year, I watered the yearlings as much as they wanted and I ended up with some fat and bloated Lithops. I’m hoping to get these ones on a schedule much sooner and hopefully avoid the hyper-growth phase.
The Dorotheae below are completely dry and have been for a couple weeks. I don’t intend to water them until the old leaves are fully absorbed. The Aucampiae, unfortunately, were watered yesterday and you can see how one has kind of exploded. Luckily, there was a new plant inside so it’s not the end of the world for the plant, but it would still be better to avoid rupturing them so traumatically
