That was the fastest shipping I’ve ever experienced. Even the seeds shipped from Africa have arrived already 🙂

These seedlings are really tiny so I wasn’t going to post pictures of them yet, but I’m excited to share them with you!
This seedling has the most amazing colours and patterns out of any seedling I’ve produced to date. I have NO idea what it is, but isn’t a beauty?! It is pink and green and yellow with red splashes. I can’t wait to see it all grown up. I think it’s going to be stunning!
And a close second…this seedling is not as brightly marked, but has an interesting overall look. It is pink with red lines.
What do you think? I regret that the top seedling is the only one of it’s kind in my collection. I hope it does well and we get to see it as an adult 🙂
Somehow, I’ve amassed 400 Lithops seeds of various types this summer. The good news is, I also bought a nice little greenhouse so the Lithops can live outside on my deck. The bad news is, it get’s too cold here for them to survive outside during the winter. I’m going to run into a space problem.
Have you seen pictures of people’s well organized grow spaces? They usually have small square pots butt up against each other; one or two Lithops per pot. They seem to be able to squish hundreds of Lithops on a single window sill. Wouldn’t it be great to have nice deep windows that could accommodate more than a single row of pots? Or perhaps a window that was low enough that a table could be strategically placed so as to act as an extended sill?
I’m going to have to really think this through before I do any Spring planting. I only have three suitable windows (South facing) and all three are pretty high with 3 inch sills.
