L.Dorotheae @ 12 Months

29 Mar

The Dorotheae kids are officially yearlings.  And pretty ones at that 🙂

I’m pretty sure the light one in the centre is a ‘Zorro’.

Your L. dorotheae plants are very nice for only their first year. I also really like the one slightly to the right of center and in the middle from a vertical perspective. The pink body with blood red islands is very nice. You really make me want to plant more seed, but I really have to make room for new plants first. Some of my older lithops now have 5 to 9 heads and they need bigger pots which then take up more space than the younger single headed plants. Thanks for sharing your beautiful lithops seedlings with us.

That’s my favorite one too, Bob. Thanks for the kind comments. I’m confident in growing them up to this point. I do have to watch my watering though as some of the two year olds have multiple old leaves that never dried up. I will need to deal with those soon. Your multi-headed specimens are an inspiration to me and I think of your collection often 🙂
