Lesliei is Waking Up!

28 Feb

The Lesliei’s have made it through the winter and are starting to renew!  It’s amazing watching the new leaves emerge!  About 1/2 my stock have started the process of renewing their leaves.  Lesliei v ‘Hornii’ is going to be stunning 🙂

You’re right, it is amazing to watch Lithops go through their regeneration over the winter. They look so bad near the end, and then the leaf gap widens and those beautiful new leaves begin to peak out. When you first grow lithops the regeneration period is a bit scary, but when those brand new, pristine leaves emerge it is very exciting. Then, after a few years you get more excitement when the one pair of leaves grow into two pairs. Lithops are really fun and exciting to grow, but of course you know all about that. 🙂 Both of your lesliei plants look great. Wonderful pattern of windows and islands.

I’m very happy these ones made it, Bob! They will be coming up four years old so maybe I’ll get a double head next year. Hopefully your plants have survived the winter and are doing well! I’ll hop over to your blog to take a peek 🙂
