2014 Otzeniana Keepers!!!

11 Jan

I’ve selected my keepers from the 2014 Otzeniana seedlings and have potted them up into their adult soil mix.  Hopefully all eleven survive the move.  I tried to preserve a good selection of patterns and colors (difficult to discern at this age) but in the end, I mostly chose the largest and strongest for my collection 🙂

Aren’t they just the sweetest Otzeniana’s you’ve ever seen?  Fingers crossed they continue to do well!

Yes, they are nice, but they are going to look so MUCH nicer when they have gone through a few more regenerations. You are going to have a lot of fun watching them develop into beautiful mature plants. Then, you will look at them and think, “I am the reason those beautiful plants exist.” It’s a wonderful feeling.

Thanks! I’m so nervous for their continued good health. This was the species I had the most trouble with in 2013 so fingers crossed I get to see thier final markings. I can already tell that a couple of them are going to have beautiful patterns like C128A and C280, but I’m hoping for a nice mix of all four varieties I’m familiar with 🙂
