Lava Flow

21 Oct

Wanna see something really precious?  These are my 1 year old Lava Flow babies!  I purchased them from Conos Paradise and am thrilled that they seem to be thriving under my care.  I’m not 100% sure what ‘Lava Flow’ is.  I know it is a hybrid and I’ve read somewhere that it is a Karasmontana, but there isn’t a lot of information out there about them to be sure.  Doesn’t matter, they are CUTE!  And I can’t wait until they are old enough to flower 🙂

Beautifully colored plants. The cultivar name ‘Lava Flow’ fits perfectly. I believe the cultivar was published by a German grower in the Mesemb Study Group Bulletin and is a cross between L. karasmontana var. tischeri and L. karasmontana var. lericheana. Nice plants.

Wow! Thanks, Bob :). As karasmontana, they should do well here. I got some ‘smokey peach’ in the same shipment but ‘lava flow’ has the nicest colors.

Wow, congrats! They look very beautiful. Looked up picture to see what the adults look like as I’m not familiar with this cultivar, stunning indeed!
