The Conophytums are currently splitting their skins and are finally starting to show their true colors. What a cool little genus!
These particular plants are now 7 months old. I’ve been growing them through trial and error but they are doing very very well. I’m kind of smitten by them and appreciate their hardiness! I did recently find an article by Steven Hammer that addresses their proper care so I’ll have to read up on that to ensure I’m not over or under watering. I know they are rumored to be on the opposite cycle as Lithops and the leaf renewal in September would suggest that may be true. If so, they’ll be fun to grow during the winter months when all the Lithops are dormant.
