I notice that your plants show new lobes while the old lobes are not withering away. Do they eventually get absorbed?

Hi Sam! Welcome to the site 🙂

In most cases, they do eventually get absorbed. This particular pot, however, has always been a problem. What I’m finding is, the Lithops in the clay pots are absorbing their old leaves, but sometimes, the Lithops in the plastic pots aren’t. It’s a water issue. I think the plastic pots don’t dry out as quickly.

I’ve decided that Lithops like water, but they don’t like being wet. They like the feel of water trickling through their roots, but that’s enough, they don’t want the substrate to hold much, if any water.
